Artists Statement
When I first read the assignment, my first thought was a light switch. The idea of a light switch that controls the internet. What makes this a different type of switch is that the light switch is always on. I chose to make this drawing and scratch out the “OFF” label to illustrate that the internet can’t be controlled, and once the internet is on, it will stay that way. This idea stems from the idea that the internet is always in motion and is always being used. The dependability and consistency of the internet initiated my brainstorming session about the light switch idea.
